Our HQL Course is a 4-hour class led by a Maryland Qualified Handgun Instructor. This course exceeds all requirements by the State of Maryland to submit your HQL application.

The HQL course includes instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety training, handgun mechanisms and operation.

Unless otherwise exempt, as of October 1, 2013, a Maryland resident must possess a valid Handgun Qualification License before he/she may purchase, rent or receive a handgun. Details on exemptions may be found on the Maryland State Police website. The Handgun Qualification License is only needed for purchasing, transferring, or renting a regulated firearm after October 1, 2013.

Requirements:

Please note the following requirements below:

– You must be 21 years or older to attend a training.

– Do you need to use a ICS firearm and (50) rounds of ammo? If yes, we will add $50 to your final balance for the class
– Please contact us before the training if you require application assistance.
– We will have a fingerprint technician on the first day of class. Please contact us before the training if you plan on getting fingerprints at our

location.
